Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is a Catholic lay organization. Accordingly, their Mission is “a networks of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.”
The society of St. Vincent de Paul has a National Council of the United States to support the local St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and Councils referred to as Vincentians. In turn, the Vincentians respond to many community and individual needs through disaster relief services, job training and placement, thrift stores, food pantries, housing programs, prison reentry, medical services, and many others, always seeking longer-term pathways out of poverty and towards the full flourishing of every person.
To help with these various programs, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul takes monetary and non-monetary (clothing, furniture, automobiles, household goods, and appliances) donations. You can schedule a free pickup or drop-off at a location.
