Mobility Matters’ mission is to provide free door-through-door transportation to seniors and veterans who need escorted rides with compassionate volunteer drivers in Contra Costa County. For the most part, these rides are primarily for medical care, dental appointments, grocery shopping, and other basic necessities for qualifying individuals.

Who qualifies for this program?

Any age veteran with an honorable discharge
Any adult age 60 or older
Qualifying individuals who live within Contra Costa County
In addition, Veterans and older adults who require escorted door-through-door assistance
60+ adults and veterans who can call in to request rides
Veterans and seniors who are unable to use other forms of transportation for medical, dental care, and shopping necessities
